OFW Suffers From Stroke, Refused By The Hospital, Dies

It is really heartbreaking to see OFWs suffering from abroad when in the first place, they only wanted to give a better life to their family and not the other way around.

And it is sad to know that another OFW suffered and died in a foreign country, again.

Recently, a video and a series of photos of an OFW who seems to have a problem with his health condition circulated online. The concerned netizen who posted the OFW’s situation said that the latter suffered from a stroke. That they tried calling for an ambulance so that the OFW be transferred to the hospital, but the personnel refused, saying that they are already full of COVID19 patients.

“Tumawag po kami ng ambulance para madala po sa ospital kaso po sabi nila puno daw po ng covid sa ospital kaya dipo sya kinuha,” the concerned netizen said.

Added that they also went to the OFWs accommodation, hoping to find a ‘kababayan coworker’, however, they were not answered.

“Tapos pinuntahan din po namin yung accomodation nila para makita kung may kasamang Pilipino pero di po kami binuksan ng mga kasama niya,” added the concerned OFW.

In the video, it can be seen that the OFW is somewhat having difficulty breathing, you can also see that he is very confused and very pale.

In the concerned netizens’ desire to help the OFW, they even tried reaching out for the POLO office in Riyadh, Saudi and even asked the other kababayan to check the BP of the OFW. They also managed to contact the OFWs family in the Philippines. However, the OFW still lost his life.

“Ginawa naman po namin ang aming makakaya pero nawalan po sya talaga ng buhay,” said the concerned netizen.

The OFW’s name is Lacanilao, Patricio.

It is truly devastating to hear news like this, especially at this time when we are still fighting against the COVID19 threat. We hope that the remains of the OFW be sent here back in the Philippines. Condolence to the bereaved family.

Eto napo Yung kabayan natin na tinulongan namin po tumawag po kami ng ambulance para madala po sa ospital kaso po Sabi…
