Man From Hong Kong Immediately Flies To The Philippines Upon Learning His Former Nanny’s Failing Health Condition

There are many reasons why foreign countries love or prefer to work with Filipinos. Not only they are hardworking and skillful but also treats employer like a family. We must admit that there is something the way Filipinos care and empathize toward other people. Not only they give their strength for their job but invest feeling as well. So it can’t be helped for some to get attached to their Filipino worker. To them, OFW domestic helpers are not mainly ‘helpers’ but a family too. Such as what this Hong Kong Man feels.

Philip Tse, a 31-year-old man from Hong Kong didn’t think twice to fly to the Philippines to visit and take care of his former nanny after learning her failing health.

Philip stayed in Roxas City (where former nanny lives) for a few days to take care of her.

Remelyn Zubiaga Yumul, 54 had been the nanny of Philip since he was 1 year old up to 19 years old.

Yumul was in another household’s employment when she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. According to her, she feels pain in her stomach first but disregards it. But after 2 weeks of not getting any better, Yumul decided to consult a doctor. And that’s when she learned about her sickness.

Days later, Yumul decided to fly back here in the Philippines to have a second opinion. Fortunately, her current employer was very understanding and gave her 2 months worth of salary.

Yumul had her surgery on March 13 and started her chemotherapy on April 22 at Capiz Doctor’s Hospital in Roxas City.

Philip and Yumul continued their communication since. This is why Philip had learned about his former nanny’s health condition. Philip may have only stayed in Roxas City for four days but it sure shows their great bond and care towards one another.
