Kuwait OFW To LBC

Kuwait OFW To LBC: “You Are The King Of Thieves!”

A balikbayan box has a valuable meaning to OFWs. It’s their way of telling their family they’re okay, they miss them and that they always think of them.

And it’s the courier’s main responsibility to convey that message to the OFWs family by taking extra care of their balikbayan boxes. But why some can’t just do it?

LBC has another issue about lost package again

Dolyn Apple Amago, an OFW based in Kuwait rant on her Facebook account about LBC stealing her package.

Dolyn said that on September 22 at around 12 noon, LBC picked up her XL balikbayan box which weighs 70.3kg. The package is expected to arrive in Silay City, Negros Occidental within 5-7 working days since she used airfreight.

According to her, her packaged was sealed properly and doesn’t have any forbidden items as per LBC’s requirement. And LBC had not said anything about her package.

However, on October 2, she was shocked when an LBC representative called her and said that they can’t send her package in her place because it was big and overweight.

They gave her two options, either they open her box and divides it into two or they will send it via sea cargo. She chose the later.

She filed a complaint about the inconvenience LBC had caused her and after many follow-ups, LBC offers to refund her of what she paid via sea cargo, 20 Kuwait Dinars.

Dolyn agreed with it and told them to make sure that her package arrives safe and intact.

However, she was not prepared when her package had arrived and her brother asked her if it’s already open before she sends it.

Her brother then sends a picture and Dolyn could not believe what she saw. Her package is already open and is clear that some of the items are missing.

That’s when she rants about LBC and told them,

“You really are indeed the king of thieves!”
