How To Get Saudi Police Clearance

Here are the detailed steps on how to get Saudi police clearance if you are already residing outside the kingdom or if you are still in Saudi.

Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) needs to secure a police clearance if you wish to immigrate to other countries such as Canada Express Entry and New Zealand.

Saudi police clearance processing may take at least a week if you are still residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and it might take longer if you are already outside the country.

Follow the steps and procedure to get Saudi police clearance

How To Get Saudi Police Clearance If you are living in Saudi

1. Obtain a “Letter of Endorsement” addressed to Saudi police from the Philippine Embassy

  • Bring a copy of a valid passport or residence permit (Iqama / Mugeem)
  • Pay for notarial fee which cost SAR 100

2. Bring the notarized “Letter of Endorsement” to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SMoFA) for authentication (SAR 30)

3. Present the authenticated “Letter of Endorsement” the police station where you reside.

  • Fill-up a fingerprint card
  • Present your residence permit or iqama

4. Wait for the release schedule which usually takes a week

How To Get Saudi Police Clearance If you are living outside SaudiĀ 

You will have to secure the following and it should be sent to a representative in Saudi

  1. Authorization letter
  2. Fingerprint card from relevant police in your home country
  3. Photocopy of passport showing you information
  4. Copy of residence visa issued by Saudi
  5. Copy of iqama
  6. 2 colored pictures with white background
  7. Other relevant supporting documents

Processing steps and procedure:

  1. Representative should take the documents (fingerprint card) to the Philippine Embassy for authentication (SAR 100)
  2. Proceed to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for authentication of the fingerprint card (SAR 30)
  3. Head to the Dirah Police Headquarters in Riyadh to submit the fingerprint card. Follow the instructions from the officials
  4. Wait for the release of Saudi police clearance which will have a stamp stating no criminal record and a signature. It will usually take 1 week

Note:

  1. The Philippine embassy will only entertain representatives with residing in the kingdom
  2. Send money to your representative only
  3. It is the obligation of the applicant to process their documents and not by the embassy

  1. What if I don’t have any relative or friend to stand as representatives to process my police clearance?can I still apply here in Philippines?and how?

  2. Here’s the complete procedure as of Nov. 2017:
    1. Get letter of endorsement from Philippine consulate Jeddah, Riyadh, etc. requirements: Passport photocopy front page only, Iqama photocopy and 2 pcs 2 x 2 ID picture white background. Prepare SAR 100 processing fee. Wait at least three (3) working days before release. They don’t cater expedite.
    2. Go to Ministry of Foreign Affairs for authentication & stamping, payment SAR 30.
    3. Go to Police station (Police Basma) not all police station cater police clearance. Wait at least 3 days before release.
    4. Upon released of Police clearance, go to Ministry of Foreign Affairs again for stamping. Prepare SAR 30.
    5. Have the police clearance translated to English to the Saudi Chamber of Commerce accredited establishments who catered translation services. Payment SAR 100.
    6. Bring the Original police clearance and the accomplished translation to the Saudi Chamber of commerce for stamping. Prepare SAR 25.
    7. Bring back the said document to Philippine Consulate for authentication. Prepare photocopy of passport and the photocopy of endorsement letter. Prepare SAR 100 normal processing or SAR 140 to expedite, same day release.

    Note: Prepare at least minimum SAR385 for all payments described above. That’s exclude the airfare, hotel fees and food budget during the whole duration of the process.

  3. To whome it may concern, I want to get a Police clearance certificate for the requirements of FIANCEE VISA to U.S.A
    I was working ( OFW ) in K.S.A since Nov. 2013 to Nov. 2015 and no derogatory record. I don’t have a REPSENTATIVE in behalf of my How can I avail.

Kasi po sa pagkakaalam ko e hindi na po, ingat po sa offer sa inyo at payong kaibigan lang po. siguraduhin po na nakapagkita na muna kayo ng personal o bago magpadala ng pera sa papeles kuno pang ayos ng visa e kilalaning mabuti ang kausap. good luck po

    Ang kapatid ko po ay dating sa Jedah nagtatrabaho for 2 years. Ngayon nasa Australia na po sya and planning to apply for residency. Sabi nya need nya ng Saudi police clearance. Me nagsabi daw sa kanya na pwedeng sa agent from the philippines magpatulong kasi pwedeng sila na daw mag process non here in the philippines through Saudi embassy. Me idea po ba kayo if this is legit?

    1. Wala po akong idea kung legit po un. Mas mainam po siguro na tawagan mismo ang Saudi embassy para maconfirm nyo po kung may ahensya o kumpanya ba na nag poproseso ng police clearance

  7. i need help po, nagtrabaho po ang father ko sa saudi ng 1990-2001, nasa pinas na po sya. Ngayon po hinahanapan po sya ng saudi police clearance bago mabigyan ng visa sa US. Isa pong requirement ang iqama copy para po makakuha ng police clearance, ayon po sakanya wala na po ang iqama niya dahil daw po bago sya ng exit ng saudi ay kinuha po yong iqama niya. meron po ba may alam kung papanu po eto? at meron na po ba nakakuha ng police clearance kahit nasa pinas na po??? pls any advice po.
