A Filipina domestic helper arrested for dead newborn inside the a shopping mall’s toilet in Hong Kong
Filipina household service worker (HSW) in Hong Kong was arrested and could probably face charges after the authorities discovered a dead newborn baby inside the shopping malls toilet last week.
The Filipina domestic helper, 37, was arrested Tuesday after an intensive review of the mall’s CCTV to identify and apprehend the suspect, according to Apple Daily.
April 4, 2016, when a clerk discovered the baby wrapped in a plastic with umbilical cord and placenta still intact.
The suspect confessed to giving birth to a stillborn baby and dumping it to the shopping malls toilet in Sham Tseng in the New Territories.
According to the investigators, the infant had no injuries but was dead for more than 48 hours.
Ming Pao Daily reported that the Filipinas recently quits her job.
